TAX ADVANTAGES

Many Fiat cars currently enjoy significant tax advantages reserved for vehicles under £12,000 and from next year it looks set to get even better. More models will benefit from new CO2-focused legislation announced in the Chancellor's latest Budget.

From 1st April 2009, expenditure on cars with CO2 emissions above 160g/km will attract a 10 per cent writing down allowance (WDA) while expenditure on cars with emissions of 160g/km and below will attract a 20 per cent WDA.

Additionally, the 100 per cent first year allowance for the cleanest cars has been extended to 31st March 2013 and the qualifying CO2 emissions threshold reduced to 110g/km will provide all versions of the Fiat 500 1.3 MultiJet with excellent tax savings
